These kinds of culprits boggle my mind. Like hmm I plan on committing a murder today, why don't I invite the famous detective who is well known for solving all the cases he comes across into my home!!!! Also they NEED to stop evilly smirking, you are giving yourself away!!!! That was one of the main reasons Conan even suspected this guy!!

i think i solved it already, i think kouzaboro took them to the 6th floor he fully own while making them think they on the 5th floor by tricking the elevator number or something, then killed his wife on the apartment next to the one they were in, which explains why okita saying he was in the apartment the whole time because it wasn't at his, they were on 6th floor, and it explains his wife being in the room because kouzaboro says the 6th floor is now his office, and she said she gon be at his office when she left him, and then when he was banging on the door, no one responded because no one was in there, they were not in fact at the 5th floor or in other words, not banging on okita's door, then after he dismissed them into calling police and getting master key, he went to the actual 5th floor & made the elevator not work so they go to the actual 5th floor using stairs and don't suspect anything, only thing i can't guess is how he moved her body from floor to floor into okita's room?
i could be totally wrong but it makes so much sense i hope it's actually true I'd be feeling so smart if it is 😭
